Celebrating the Life of Blake
Ours to hold for just a little while
You were sent here to us, a precious baby boy.
We love you so, and daily watched you grow.
But we did not know you were not made to stay,
for the Lord adored you so he quickly called you home.
Our hearts are breaking now, and we find it hard to
understand.
But someday we will see it was part of God's plan,
and then we will know why you were
ours to hold for just a little while.
Love Always,
Mom, Dad and family
Blake's Poem
by Amy L. Curran
I remember the first time I saw you,
So little and so new.
You looked just liked your daddy.
Your parents were so proud of you.
We knew you would be special,
With your precious eyes so blue,
Even when you were sleepy,
Your strength came shining through.
I remember when I held you,
The first visit to your home.
You clung to me cuddling as can be;
It was like you didn't want to be alone.
So I slept right there with you,
And I held you oh so tight,
Thinking of how you were so little,
But you reminded us of all your might.
You were so mighty, in fact you
Could wake the whole house at night,
But how can we blame you,
For being so full of life.
Oh Life's a gift from the Savior,
A gift of beauty and design,
And you my Dear Blakie had
This gift for a little time.
But now you're in a beautious place,
A place of comfort sweet,
And Blakie, We all feel so blessed
To have had the chance to meet.
A little boy who changed our
Lives, sent from heaven above,
Who the angels carried gently
Away, so you could be near
To the heart of God.
